1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
One night we went to a concert, and my husband didn’t want to pay for parking; so we parked elsewhere and walked about a mile to the venue. By the time the concert was over, the shoes I had chosen were not suitable for walking another mile, back to his truck.. It was also, POURING the rain (and COLD!). So, my husband gave me his cowboy boots to wear (which were WAY too big), he carried my shoes, and he gave me his jacket! We walked ALL THE WAY back to the truck, when we got back we were soaking wet.. He looked at me and said, “Still better than paying $20 for parking.”

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I would say the most important thing in my kitchen would be my sourdough starter! She even has a name, Willa! I make all kinds of recipes with her, and of course amazing homemade bread for any meal! Another thing in my kitchen that would be on that list is my cast iron skillets! They are so versatile, and they are my go-to pots and pans!

3.What do you love to cook and why?
I would say that people probably assume that I have always been “girly” and into pageants but that’s not true! I grew up riding four wheelers, playing softball, hiking and playing in the creek! I still love to do all these things! Life is about balance, right??

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
After the birth of our first daughter, I experienced Postpartum Depression; once I was able to reach the other side of that dark place, I formed several Facebook pages and groups for women who were moms, expecting moms, new moms.. I would host in person meetings at my home, at the park.. I would even meet new moms at a local coffee shop, so I could explain all I knew about postpartum depression, so they would know what to expect! I had moms reaching out to me every day! It was such a joy to lead those women through trials of motherhood!

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
If I had no fear, I would probably try to climb Mt. Everest! The risks of such an incredible feat, definitely deters me away from ever wanting to do it! I can’t imagine how incredibly beautiful it is, though!
